Are You Willing to Invest in Yourself in 2017?

Have you been putting off a class, a certification, or training convincing yourself you'll sign up next time?

If you asked me a few years ago, I would say why do I need self-growth when there's retail therapy? My wardrobe was killer but my life was chaos. After years of ups and downs and on the verge of quitting another job, an online training program landed in my lap.

Classic bad timing but instead of using the excuse of "I don't have enough time and money," I made an empowered decision to invest in myself and my education. I dropped all excuses and I figured out an appropriate payment plan. Investing in myself put me back in my power.  Online trainings can empower us to create change, master a craft or start our own business. In order to get there we need guides, maps and tools and we need to invest in them.

Here’s three reasons why you should invest in online education in 2017.

1. If you want to be invested in, invest in yourself. If you’re not paying for trainings or workshops, then how can you expect others to invest in your work? From an energetic perspective, when you invest your dollar into yourself and others, that good energy comes back to you. You also get to connect with leaders who inspire you and people with potential interest in your programs.

2. You can train from anywhere in the world. Most people struggle with the lack of perceived available time. The beauty of taking an online training is that you can listen to lectures on your own time. You can study from anywhere in the world or when traveling, giving you more freedom than taking an in person class.

3. You will be able to teach others online. Online programs give you a taste what it’s like to run one. If you feel a call to lead yourself, begin with taking an online class on a topic that lights you up or with someone who inspires you. Sign-up for their programs and newsletters and see how they reach their virtual audience. Over time you will gain the skills to lead your own online programs.

Will 2017 be the year that you invest in online education?
